Since becoming an educator, he has earned a Master's in Secondary Education (2006), a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a Specialization in Curriculum and Instruction (2015), and a Master's in Administration & Services Credential (2017). He has been teaching in the same school district for almost 20 years. He has presented at conferences for California Mathematics Council (CMC), California Continuation Education Association Plus (CCEA+), National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE), Mount San Jacinto College (MSJC) and National Council of Supervisors for Mathematics (NCSM).
He was recently featured at NCSM's Uncovering Stories sponsored by Open Resource in Washington, D.C. in November 2023 and was named an Amazon Future Engineer Teacher of the Year in May 2023. He is a Certified Artificial Intelligence Expert, ChatGPT Expert, and Prompt Engineer Expert.
He has conducted field testing on new emerging educational technology for several educational software companies, including Pearson, Edmentum, Remind, Family Math Night, Muzology, LocoRobo, Achieve 3000, FirstinMath, PBISRewards, and Let’sGo Learn.
